I do a regular half hour talk at the office which is titled “What Why How”. It is available to the public though is mostly attended by my new patients. Please see the bulletin section of this website for the time and date of upcoming events.
The What Why How presentation is designed to give extra background to the Network Spinal Analysis (NSA) treatment process. This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered. For nearly 20 years now I noticed that people have often been amazed at the very positive results they can receive early in care. The rapid progress that they make often raises many questions that they want answered. It’s also because of the ‘phenomenon’ of spontaneous spinal movement that develops for most people as they receive the treatment. This movement has been called “a strategy of self-correction” by Irvine College of Medicine researcher Dr Blanks. See more on this on this website in an article titled “Network Spinal Analysis (NSA): University Research Summary”. It can be difficult to have enough time to answer these questions as thoroughly as I’d like during the regular appointment, so I have set a special time aside to do so. I will give an introduction to the NSA and give some insight into What I do, Why I do it and How I do it. You can read more about the spontaneous response NSA generates in my article titled “Gentle Chiropractic Care in Canberra.”
Examples of the kinds of questions that are often asked include:
· “Why does the length of each treatment session vary?”
· “How can you touch my back so gently yet get results that I haven’t had anywhere else?”
· “Do you touch the same places on everyone and if not how do you know where to treat?”
· “How can so many different symptoms improve so quickly with so little effort?”
· “Why does Betty’s back and neck move during the treatment but mine does not?”
· “How soon can I reduce my frequency of treatment and how do you know?”
· “How did you know where some of my worst problems were before I even told you?”
· “I want my neck pain and headaches to go away so why do you work on my lower back?”
· “Why does my breathing change during the treatment?”
· “How did you help the strength return to my arms and legs by just touching my back?”
· “I understand that you are teaching my body a strategy of self correction. What should I be seeing and feeling in my body?”
· “If the self corrective response of NSA is a unique phenomenon of this method then can you tell me how it was discovered?”
· “I understand that you have done research at university. To what extent is your treatment based upon science?”
· “What does the treatment do that means I now feel less stress?”
